Centres
At the Long Night Centres you can get tickets, information and an overview plan. You can enjoy refreshments, chill out to DJ sets or be surprised by dance performances. The four Centres are in the Lustgarten on Museum Island, outside Museum Berggruen in the Charlottenburg Museum District, outside the Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart and at Checkpoint Charlie.
A great many museums can be reached on foot from the Centres. If you show your ticket at the Jelbi pop-ups set up here you can get a voucher giving you € 10 off the Jelbi app and can set off right away by bike, e-bike or e-scooter. The Centres are linked by two shuttle bus routes with buses every ten minutes.

Opening
The Long Night of Museums will be opened at 6 pm in front of the Altes Museum on the Museum Island by the Mayor of the Land of Berlin, Bettina Jarasch. The opening will be framed by a dance performance. You are warmly invited!
Differing opening hours
Apart from one or two exceptions, the museums will be open from 6 pm to 2 am.
A few museums will be starting a little earlier with their children’s programmes. The MACHmit! Museum für Kinder is opening from 3 to 10 pm. The children’s programme at the Berlinische Galerie starts at 4 pm, and that of the Bauhaus-Archiv/Museum für Gestaltung in The Temporary at 5 pm.
Some museums will close at midnight. They are the Energie-Museum in Steglitz, the Käthe-Kollwitz-Museum in Charlottenburg (which is under construction) and the Planetarium am Insulaner in Schöneberg.
Languages
New Berliners and guests of the city are welcome to the Long Night! The museums offer events in Arabic, German, English, Persian, Russian and Ukrainian.
You will not need to know German to be able to enjoy many of the events such as concerts and performances. You can find these events in our programme by using the filter settings.
Inclusion
The great majority of the participating museums are wheelchair-accessible. The suitability of individual museums for people with various disabilities is included in the museum descriptions. The programme can be filtered for inclusive events. The shuttle buses are barrier-free.
Protective and hygiene rules
Events without restrictions on numbers or special admission requirements are currently allowed in Berlin. A few museums limit the number of visitors for safety reasons and require visitors to wear masks. Please comply with these rules.
We recommend that you wear a mask in all indoor spaces and at museum entrances. FFP2 masks must be worn in the shuttle buses and on public transport. For the safety of everyone involved, please follow general hygiene rules (disinfect hands, keep your distance) and stay home if you have cold symptoms.
You may have to wait before being admitted to some museums. You can ask our visitor support staff to find out which nearby museums you can visit in the meantime.
Many museums are offering events in their gardens or courtyards or on their plazas. Filter the programme of events for “open air”.
