Herlinde Koelbl, one of Germany's most renowned photographic artists, accompanied Angela Merkel for thirty years, documenting in unique close-ups the rise from a young, inexperienced politician to chancellor of the Federal Republic and finally to the rank of a global leader.

Richard Wagner experienced and influenced the 19th century in many different ways. The presentation focuses on four feelings that acted as driving forces for the circumstances of the time and for Wagner’s ideas: Alienation and Belonging, Eros and Loathing.
