Sibylle Bergemann was one of Germany’s bestknown photographers. During her Berlin-based career lasting for more than four decades, she produced an outstanding oeuvre ranging from urban, fashion and portrait photography to essaystyle reportage. She used photography as a form of artistic expression to capture reality in a serious and poetic manner.
