The Bauhaus artists were especially fond of listening to jazz, in particular at their famous Bauhaus parties. Which is no wonder, actually – after all, jazz was at the time just as wild, young and modern as the Bauhaus itself. With Karl-Heinz Steffens & Friends we immerse ourselves in the world of the 1920s Jazz Age to bring our musical trip through time to an end!

Sound of Bauhaus – opera lovers at the Bauhaus

The Bauhaus artists were opera fans – they loved everything from the music to the stage designs! Michal Friedländer and Karl-Heinz Steffens of the Neuer Musikverein Berlin present for us an opera adaptation for piano and clarinet of pieces from ‘The Tales of Hoffmann’ and ‘Madame Butterfly’.
