Based on Kandinsky’s design for the wall decoration in a music room and his thoughts on synaesthesia, colours and shapes can be composed into pictures that spread out in the room.

The Bauhaus artists were opera fans – they loved everything from the music to the stage designs! Michal Friedländer and Karl-Heinz Steffens of the Neuer Musikverein Berlin present for us an opera adaptation for piano and clarinet of pieces from ‘The Tales of Hoffmann’ and ‘Madame Butterfly’.
